Fundraising Stores

Launch a merchandise store for your company. Set product prices, sell custom apparel, and generate earnings from store sales.

How Fundraising Stores Work

Fundraising stores allow businesses and organizations to generate revenue by selling custom merchandise through an online storefront.

Instead of collecting individual merchandise orders, you can publish products for employees, customers, and other buyers to purchase directly. You control the products offered and their selling prices, allowing your store to support fundraising, merchandise sales, or cost-effective outfitting.

To create a storefront, follow our Store Setup Guide.

Flexible Pricing and Fundraising Margins

Your store's earnings depend on the difference between the selling price charged to customers and your applicable product cost. You can adjust selling prices to support your fundraising or merchandise goals.

  • Increase Your Markup: Set selling prices above your product costs to generate earnings from purchases.
  • Reduce Your Markup: Offer more affordable merchandise while retaining a smaller margin on each sale.
  • Sell at Cost: Set prices at your applicable product cost when your goal is to outfit members rather than generate store earnings.

Use Pricing Controls to establish storewide pricing rules, adjust individual product prices, and review projected earnings.

Choosing Products for Your Store

Fundraising stores can offer a variety of custom merchandise, including jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, headwear, and other apparel and accessories available through the product catalog.

Choose products that appeal to your intended audience and fit your fundraising goals. Affordable everyday items can attract a broader customer base, while specialized apparel and premium merchandise can provide additional purchasing options.

Many products are available without minimum order quantities, allowing customers to purchase individual items without requiring the store to organize a group order. Product availability and minimum quantities depend on the specific item.

Managing and Publishing Products

Store owners control which products appear in their storefronts. You can prepare product designs, configure prices, review listings, and publish merchandise when it is ready for sale.

With Product Listings, you can manage products in Draft status before making them available to customers. This allows you to prepare merchandise collections, seasonal products, or promotional campaigns without displaying unfinished listings.

Published products can be managed through your store dashboard, allowing your merchandise selection to change as your fundraising needs evolve.

How Account Discounts Affect Store Earnings

Your account's product costs are influenced by applicable Account Discounts and other pricing benefits. As qualifying purchasing and store activity increases, your account may become eligible for better pricing.

Lower product costs can increase the earnings available from store sales when retail prices remain unchanged. You can also pass those savings along to customers by reducing your selling prices.

Account Discount levels are based on qualifying activity over a rolling 365-day period. Actual savings vary by account eligibility, product category, and applicable pricing rules.

Account Discount Levels

The table below shows the available account discount levels and applicable pricing benefits across product categories. These discounts influence the underlying costs used to determine your store's potential earnings.

Store Earnings and Ambassador Commissions

Merchandise stores and the Ambassador Program provide separate ways to generate earnings.

Store Earnings

Store earnings are generated through qualifying merchandise sales based on the difference between applicable product costs and selling prices. Use Pricing Controls to manage these margins.

Ambassador Commissions

The Ambassador Program allows eligible participants to earn commissions by sharing tracked referral links. Qualifying purchases attributed to those links may generate Ambassador earnings under the program's rules.

Ambassador attribution is separate from the markup applied to products sold through your own store. A purchase does not automatically qualify for an Ambassador commission simply because it was made through a fundraising storefront.

Common Fundraising and Merchandise Strategies

Corporate Merchandise Sales

Offer branded apparel and promotional merchandise to employees, customers, or other audiences while managing pricing and potential revenue.

Community Merchandise

Offer everyday products such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and other accessible merchandise to reach a broader audience.

Seasonal and Event Campaigns

Prepare merchandise collections around tournaments, school seasons, company events, or fundraising campaigns. Update your published listings to reflect changing merchandise needs.

At-Cost Outfitting

Use the same storefront to offer merchandise without a store markup when providing affordable apparel to members is more important than generating revenue.

Production and Order Fulfillment

Customers purchase merchandise through the storefront, and submitted orders follow the applicable production and fulfillment process for each product.

Production and shipping timelines depend on the product, decoration method, and order requirements. Customers should review the applicable lead times and shipping information when placing their orders.

Store owners can monitor sales activity without manually coordinating every individual customer purchase.

Tracking and Using Fundraising Earnings

Use Store Reports to review sales activity, product performance, commissions, and available earnings. Reporting tools help you understand which products are selling and how your store contributes to your fundraising or revenue goals.

Available earnings can be redeemed through supported options, including checkout credits, digital gift cards, and withdrawal requests through PayPal or mailed check.

For information about redemption methods and processing, see Payouts.
